Just a few Strava Segments - where is the rest?!?

Hi, i am new to 830. before i used edge 1000.

with 830 i have the problem, that there are just a few Segments on it. i have about 100 segments in STRAVA marked as favourites. but just 20 (!) are on edge 830.

is there a limitation?!? when i delete a segment, which IS on 830, it just loads 1 new.

well, if it is so: this is nonsense. there are so much free KB on the 830, why i cant use it for hundreds of segments?!

software is 5.1. so what can i do?!

The 830 will support 100 segments. The issue could be with changes that Strava have made to their API's. The Strava API's no longer allow any segment that they consider to be downhill to be exported.

ok, but i dont think that this is problem. when i delete Segments in Strava (which are within the 20 exported to 830), then the "next 20" will appear on 830. so there WILL be every Segment listed at the 830. But just 20 in summary... and problem is, that no segment will show up during ride...

Are you syncing using the phone app or the desktop program?

phone app! i also tried the website by garmin. there i can see ALL Segments.

As a test could you install Garmin Express and try that?

today i tried garmin express, but changed nothing.

i checked again: there is NO single segment when i ride. when i swipe DOWN at the startscreen on edge 830, then i can see 20 segments. when i LOAD one, then it says FAILED.

what do i do when i LOAD one? is this just to get navigated to this segment? then its not for what i am looking for.

I have the same problem. Both my edge 130 and 830 will now, no longer copy the segments from Garmin connect to either device. Strava has made the segments available in Garmin connect, but no matter what I have tried, none will transfer to the devices. I have also tried changing back to Garmin segments - these would not copy over either. Have reverted back to starve segments, hoping this would kick start the transfer, but no luck so far. GGrrrr

well, i contacted Strava too. they told me:

1. Segment is considered a descent: At this time, we do not sync nor display downhill segments for Strava Live Segments. We appreciate your feedback.

as i dont use ascending segments, i cant check it. can you?
