Address navigation never fails to create the least direct route possible regardless of the settings. It will tell me to turn right when it's obvious the direct path is straight ahead, and divert me around a long way of my path just to return me there. I hope Google buys Garmin and fixes this crap once and for all. Tech support is in complete denial of a problem as I reported the same issues with my previous Edge 820
