Edge 830 - There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect.

I get this error message every time I try to connect!

  • Connect how?  Bluetooth?  Wi-Fi? With a cable?  What are you trying to connect the Edge unit to?

  • I get the exact same message when trying to sync via usb cable from my Mac. I only decided to try Garmin express and the Mac as my syncs weren’t going through wirelessly (either BT or Wi-fi) - the sync wheel span on the phone and the phone was connected but nothing (no recent activities or new segments) moved backwards for forwards.

    Any ideas?

  • I chatted with Tech support and learned that you need to use the USB cable with Garmin stamped on the side. It is a 2-way cable and can move data both ways. Ive had success with other cables in the past, but using this cable instantly uploaded the data. Thanks Garmin tech support!
