Backlight stays on

Edge 830, v5.00 firmware.

Backlight settings are auto-brightness enabled and "stays on for 15 seconds".

And yet quite often (80+% of the time) the backlight will stay on constantly. If I swipe to another page, it will sometimes switch off after 15 seconds, but not always.

If I use the Garmin Remote to switch to another page, the light generally stays on.

Am I the only one seeing this?

There was a change in 5 to turn on the backlight when a lap is hit, might be worth checking your autolap settings.

I've seen the backlight stay on after getting a notification, like "Off course". It'll stay on after I dismiss the notification and I have to swipe screens and then it'll shut off after another 15 seconds.

There's no problem with the light coming on at appropriate times (notifications, lap, etc)

It then doesn't go off.

Same issue, after auto pause, When it auto starts again, the backlight timeout no longer works. Need to go back into display settings, which indicates it is already set to a 15 sec timeout, and go through the steps of reselecting a timeout again.
