Garmin 830 not compatible for GPX course?

Have been trying to add a course to my 830 via GC phone app but just won’t send.

App is saying that the GPX file is not compatible with 830.... I’ve loaded these courses into my 820 without any issues. Screen shot attached

Have tried the following:

Updated app on phone
Updated firmware on 830
Removed and reconnected connections
Full reset of 830 and started from scratch

I have only need able to load a course manually via the computer cable connection

Anyone else have the issue? Is there a cache file on the 830 that can be deleted or cleared?

Where are you getting the file from?

Try using a FIT file.

There are two ways courses can be loaded. One (copying to NewFiles) will convert from tcx/gpx. The other requires the file in the right format (gpx or fit, depending on the device).

I have the same issue, I've reported it to Garmin Support. They have acknowledged that is it an issue, but they do not have a timetable for a fix. I'm feed up with the lack of response on this one.

The file is from Garmin Connect....

declan.collins the only work around that I have figured out is to log into Garmin Connect via a desktop and select send file to Edge 830. Then pair your phone and Edge 830 and sync. Course should be on the Edge 830
