BT connection 830 to Samsung S7

Bluetooth connection between my 830 and Samsung S7 rarely happens. I've done everything they recommend. All updates, new version of mobile Garmin Connect, delete previous pairing within the phone, delete previous pairing in the 830, shut down 830 and turn back on, shut down phone and turn back on, etc. I use a Garmin HR monitor but makes no difference if paired or not. Any suggestions? 

  • Try disabling battery optimizations on Connect app.

    I've got SG7Edge and the connection is rock solid since 4.10 fw.

  • I have the 830 paired twice with my S10. Not sure why but once you pair once and rescan it appears again. The first pairing only works if the connect app is open. The second pairing worked with it in the background. They have different icons in the phone's Paired Devices listing. 

    It might be random which connection you get first. Which could explain why it works for some people and sometimes the unpair/pair dance helps.
