This is my second Edge 830 in two months. and I have the same issue. I was riding home and I started a ride. It counted time, avg speed, but not the distance. I did reset it twice and third time it gave me the startup screen Garmin with 3 dots and loading course, workouts,... But it doesn't go further. I did a hard reset, soft one, Express on computer, Webbuilder too... Nothing helps. The device isn't shown on a PC or Macbook as a drive but it is seen by Webbuilder. He does reinstall de software but it fails again and again. This is really weird, 2 times the same issues. They sent me a new one... but maybe someone knows a solution.
