Does ForkSight work on user-created routes, or only on Trailforks routes?

The title says it all. If I create a route in, say Garmin Connect and download it to my 830, will ForkSight work on it?

Yes it does.

If your course goes into a trail on trailforks, the track will highlight and it will tell you what trail your on at the top of the screen.

Also everytime you stop it will show you what trail…

Thanks. I understand now that you really don't even have to load a trail at all, just start riding using the Mountain profile, and if the trail is in Trailforks, ForkSight will just work. Is that correct?

Yes, that's the ForkSight feature which can be turned on/off for your profile.
