4iii Precision Single Sided Power Meter

The power meter is obviously installed on the left hand side of the crank as single sided , but during and after a ride the garmin unit says all my power is on the right side. I understand that the unit doesn't support cycling dynamics, but would there be a reason for all the power to be on the wing side or am I missing something? Running the latest firmware.

The problem is that you are using an Edge 820 and not an Edge 830.

The Edge 820 does not support training effect.

I have the same powermeter Precision 4iiii on left crank and Garmin Connect showing figures for right side.

The 830 shows Training effect, the 820 does not.

As covered earlier in this thread the 4iiii left only power meter has a bug in the software that reports the power as coming 100% from the right.

Hi, I used this today and it reports the same. But I've no issue with it, the rest of data is all spot on. If its fixed it will just report the opposite 100% on left. I have a p2m on my good bike with l/r balance, which reports both. 4iiii is great for the money, first impression. £180 from Pro bike

Actually a one sided power meter should not report side at all.
