discarded rides will be counted by Training Load

when you discard a short ride e.g. 5min because you deteced there is something wrong, missing sensor or so, this activity will be counted by Training Load, but you see this wrong calculation only with active Physio True Up!

Today i discarded a indoor session, because wrong sensor was connected and started a new activity, after my ride i synced Edge 830 (Training Load 399) and Forerunner 945 (Training Load 391)and i have a difference of 8

Anyway, this seems a problem on more devices, because this happens in the past on my Edge 1030 and Fenix 5 too!

of course, i am in a recovery week, my Training Status goes to unproductive, thats really impossible!

in the situation you describe, it is probably better to "Discard" the workout before saving, rather than saving then deleting. Discarding means it won't be counted as part of Training Load.

thats what i have done and it counted, sorry my english it not the best, discard is the correct word!

it looks like, with a discarded activity you have 7 day long a difference in the Training Load!

reproduced same thing on FR945 with a Strength Activity, when you discard the activity without saving it counts to your Training Load!

I think it’s the right behavior because your body had to work and produced a training load.

i stop it after 1 or 2 minute, when i checked something with connected sensors is wrong or during an update a connect iq datafield is lost, same thing on FR945, discard and delete workout, then it must be deleted, because the second device never get this training load via Physio True Up

Found this thread with Google.

Same problem with fenix 6. Today I did a 30 min walk after a run. During the run I used hrm run and during the walk took it off and puted on my pocket. Forgot that you can't do this with hrm run since it starts to broadcast +200 on HR.

Before saving reviewd the walk and noticed a completely stupid training load. Disgarded the walk but it was counted in the training load:300 on anaerobic and 400 aerobics.

again today, i stopped Edge 830 activity cause i changed yesterday the battery of my Vector 3 and i stopped, cause there was to much oil on the battery, so i discarded and deleted the one minute ride because of power drops, this short activity counts to Training Load but only on Edge and not on FR945, why the hell Garmin couldn't solve simple issues like that, they do really good sw, but thats a shame!
