Verifying satellites number/positions

Maybe I am just a bit lost. On former devices it was possible to check satellites actually received by hitting the GPS symbol.
But not anymore. Has it been placed somewhere else? Or just gone in the way what you can't check you can't complain about. ;-)

  • I don't like that I can't get the Lat/Long from the satellite screen like on older devices. Not that I ever needed it, but it could be handy if there ever was an emergency while MTBing.

Yes, I know I can get that with my phone, but what good is a GPS if it can't give you your position.

  • You can get an IQ store widget that shows coordinates. I have not used one or verified their accuracy.

  • If you enable the compass page the lat/long position is shown on that page.

  • Agreed - And I would call it a security feature as you can simple forward your position.

Finally it would be a duplicate feature as your mobile should be able anyway.

But satellite number, type, position can give you an idea about a reason for an actual issue.

Seems to be Garmins actual way of dealing with issues. On the 130, which has massive battery issues, they disabled the former available display as percentage and only show 5 bars anymore.
