Garmin edge 830 most the of time will not sync. via bluetooth.

I have the same problems with iP 6s and 830. Forerunnrer935 works without any problems

What works for me 90% of the time is to disable bluetooth, wait a few seconds, and enable it again on my phone. It will connect and sync that time, until it is off for some period of time and I have to do it again.

I'm starting to wonder if the issue is the watch and the 830 both connected to GC?  I have a vivosmart HR+ watch.  From the main GC screen it looks like the sync indicator refers to my watch.  When I go to Garmin Devices to sync the Edge it usually hangs with the running man until I restart GC.  And then it syncs at startup of the GC app.

In my experience it’s more of an Apple problem. Restart phone and it’s ok. No sync and message “device may be busy...” is what I get. Not all issues is Garmin’s fault I’m afraid... 

Possible.  But mostly I just need to restart GC app for the sync to work, not the phone.  And I have a Vivosmart Hr+ watch that is also connected and doesn't have any issue syncing.

Same issue connecting from my iPhone xs to the Garmin 830. Every ride I have to turn off bluetooth for a second and once it's turned back on the Garmin will connect to my phone. I have also tried all the steps from Garmin support to removing everything and starting the pairing process over and it still does not resolve the phone connecting issue. 

Ensure wifi is turned off on the 830. Mine won't sync with GC when both wifi and bluetooth are on.

This was the answer that worked for me, Turning off the WiFi connection worked.
