Same question here. someone mentioned that there is a folder on the device when you connect it via USB with text files which can be modified. I have tried looking for that but I have had no success...

I believe you can edit all alternate language files in the Garmin\text folder, however as the English language file is built in, you cannot edit the English one (which is the one most of us want to edit)
