Modifying interval workout during a training ride

Hello everybody,

Yesterday during a training ride I tried to modify an interval workout editing time, repeat etc. but it didn't take the modification. I noticed that only if I stop the current ride then I can modify the interval workout and starting a new workout., I had the same issue with edge 820. What am I doing wrong?
