830: drops all sensors (phone/power meter/HRM) intermittently and then all of them permanently during ride even though says connected

I have bought Garmin for years: handhelds; edge 25; edge 810; vivoactive; HRM; Fenix 5S, Vector and now 830.

The 810 had some issues years ago but they seemed to get resolved. Everything else has been great until this year.

Bought the Vector pedals. Now on second set. They are useless. First set power was 20-30% off and balance useless. Second balance hopelessly unbelievable although power seems more believable.

Now I have the 830 and it is completely unreliable. It loses connectivity with each sensor temporarily and randomly and on long rides will often all lose all sensor data simultaneously. This is fatal and an error that I cannot correct with any trouble shooting on the move: removing / re-adding the sensor; turning on / off; bluetooth on / off etc. So my ride ends up with all sensor data at zero from that point on in the 830 file. The 830 still shows the sensors connected however.

If I connect with my Fenix, I can finish the ride in two parts. What's going on Garmin? I have spent thousands on your products but you are losing me.

Had this happen to me today. All sensors dis-connected while riding (HRM, Cadence, Speed, both lights). I tired un-enabling them, then enable one at a time, but no good. I have also noticed sensors momentarily going offline, then come back a second later, but never all of them like today. I had to pull over. stop my ride on the Garmin then power cycle it. After that all the sensors came back, but my ride was screwed up because I had to stop it. I just had a part 1 and a part 2 ride. Just not fun when the miles and times get messed up. I wish there were an answer, as I see a couple other have had this same issue.

Search the group. This is old news with no real resolution. Disable Bluetooth on your phone is one suggestion which defeats the value of a connected device. Live Track, messaging.....

bbrannon Thank you. I did do a search which brought me here, I didn't see all the other posts yet, so I will search again and review what has been said.
