On my Edge 810 when I miss a turn it presents with a beep (that is a different beep than normal) indicating that I missed a turn. Then prompt appears if I want to recalculate.
On Edge 830 when it is set to prompt for recalculation, no sound is present when missing a turn, only pop-up appears. This is unacceptable as it allows to miss a turn very easily.
When it is set to auto-recalculate, it only beeps (normal beep) and shows nothing (indicating probably it recalculated). I would like to be notified that I actually went off my initial planned route and not just magically recalculated (it can still recalculate, but it should at least beep in a different manner than normal beep or show some message).
Both above issues are on 3.55 beta.
On top of that in the mode with prompt when i said "no" to recalculate and then manually navigated myself to rejoin the predefined route, Garmin never realized that I'm back on the route and didn't notify me about it (also distance to destination was stuck and elevation profile ahead was gone). No matter that I was back on the route for good couple hundred meters already. Also with 3.55 beta.
