incident detection didn't work

Yesterday i suffer a fall and the incident detection did not work at all.

I assume that is related to the poor bluetooth connectivity that Edge 830 presents, since my phone keeps loosing connection to it.

I've tried to reset the 830 , removing it from my phone know devices, etc. and this connection issue persists.

For your knowledge, my older 810 did not had any issue with my phone.

Come on Garmin, you sold me something that is not working. and that was a key issue for me buying it since i ride quite often alone.

Raise your game and have a fix to it soon.

  • Yesterday I stopped twice at a trafficlight and both times the incident detection was triggered. Both times I braked normally, no panic stop...

  • Even worse then. seems to be completely random when it is or is not triggered.

  • Sorry to read about this.  I'm curious whether you took any other steps to confirm whether the Incident Detection is working?

I had a fall earlier this week while my Edge 820 was tracking the ride.  Although it detected an incident, it didn't try to notify an Emergency Contact.  I later discovered that I had not properly set up my contacts, which I have since resolved.

Also, what kind of phone do you have?  I know there have been reported iPhone issues, and I did recently need to remove and reconnect my Edge 820 to Garmin Connect.
