Edge 830 Firmware Stuck in 2.70

Hello.

I have an Edge 830 purchased in Singapore and when I registered it with Garmin Express it shows "EDGE 830 ASIA."

It works well but my concern is that it does not recognize the new updates. I'm stuck with Firnware Version 2.70 and even if there were several firmware updates in the open already, Garmin Express or my 830 does not see it and it says that my unit is up to date.

Any thoughts on the matter? Is the latest firmware of the Edge 830 in my region really 2.70 only?

You have an ASIA (regional) unit that has its own software and its on software release cycle. The Garmin TW site might show what the latest release is for that unit.

I would assume that 2.70 is the latest for that regional unit otherwise Garmin Express would offer you an update.

Ok so even if I find the 3.50 upgrade firmware I won't be able to update my ASIA unit with it?

I'm assuming that since it's an Edge 830 model that the firmware should be the same across the board regardless of region.

The regional models have their own part numbers and the ASIA region has its own software and will not accept software from another region.
