Can't switch my Garmin on?

Suddenly I can't switch my Garmin Edge 830 on.
Neither short pressing nor long pressing the power button works.
What can I do?

Ok, the reason is that the power button just stopped working.

I can switch on the device by connecting it to my Laptop and after disconnecting it, it will boot up.

Resetting the device did not solve the issue.

Any ideas? :(

Updating to New Edge 830 Public Beta 3.55 does not solve the problem.

Maybe it's a hardware problem, that suddenly appeared.

I will send the device back.

Did you try long pressing for about 10-15sec? See if that helps.

I tried it multiple times. Long pressing from 10 seconds to over a minute, but nothing happens.

Also the device is not empty. It is loaded to 80 %.

Ok, now it's completely broken. I did a full factory reset while being on the latest beta.

Now the device permanently shows the garmin logo and because of the non working power button I am not able to shutdown the device and it will not connect to my laptop either.

Although i was warned, I could not believe that in 2019 a company dares to ship such a buggy product. :/

Contact Garmin support. There were a few early units that had faulty buttons. It sounds like you may have gotten one. Support will replace it for you.
