Language

Hi,

I select the French language and remove all the others (that I really don't need and never will) with "JaVaWa Device Manager" but each time I connect Garmin Express to synce, I have 16 language updates. Is there a way to definitely remove all the other language but French and avoid GE to reinstall them

Actually you cannot remove English as it is built in to the software. It is the only language not contained in a text bundle.

Actually you cannot remove English as it is built in to the software. It is the only language not contained in a text bundle.

As pointed out, the language text files are really small when compared to the size of the available storage on the unit, so there is little benefit in removing them.

There is even a specific English file into the list

Somewhere they speak about 6,75 MB , it is not that small !

Depending on the region and whether you load additional maps you will have around 6 GB of free space so losing 10 MB to text bundles is not that bigger a lose.

There is no English Text bundle

I only could ask if it is possible to select the files I want and those I do not want on my device .

Otherwise I only have 981,3 Mo free so a few more bites is not really luxury
