I'm taking the unit back to the Trek dealer and either getting another unit or go with the 1030. I did a short ride the day after I got the unit and it worked ok. The next day I downloaded a route with RidewithGPS and had to park a mile away from the site. It asked if I wanted to map to the start and then would not do it. Once at the start if wouldn't load. Found my GPS was not working. Once that started working all I could see was the Route Text and it did give me directions thru my headphones. I got the map one time but I was not sure if it would give me directions or it was giving me just a map as to where I was. When I got done with the ride, there was text at the bottom letting me know I won but the screen was blank. Tried everything and it just remained blank. Tried to power on and off and it just started beeping and trying to reset. Went to Trek store and they couldn't do a thing and since I had registered the unit could not give me a new one without Garmin's permission. I went home and plugged it in and I finally got the screen to come on but the unit still won't operate. Taking it back tomorrow and getting a new unit, I hope. Very disappointed in the quality. Hope to be able to right a better review later.
