2 Things I want off the screen..

1. When following a course I have the guide text turned off. When on another data page, when a turn approaches the map shows (which I want) but also the text (which I don't want) as I covers the little directional triangle.

2. Following a course, what is this at the bottom of the map and can I take it off.

The second one you can take off. It is under the map page settings "Show elevation profile" .

The top first one can be deactivated via the activity profile -> Navigation -> Map -> Guide Text -> Never Display

I have it turned of, see pics.. There is no text on the map data screen but comes up when on another data page.. Thanks..
