Edge 1000 Sensors paired with Edge 830?

I misplaced my Edge 1000 (purchased in 2015) last week but still have all of the existing sensors (cadence/speed) and am wondering if they will pair with a the newer Edge 830?

    YES!

    The sensors (old ones; new ones) will pair with any Garmin head unit.

    ANT+ sensors are (typically) one way. 

    The sensor has no idea what is listening to it to it (or even if anything is listening to it). You can even have multiple head units sharing a single sensor.

    (Bluetooth is different: the pairing is one-to-one.)

    Yes, they work fine. I have the same sensors from my Edge 1000 working without problem on my 830.
