What is the Downloaded Map Capacity of the 830?

1.  How many maps can I download to the 830?

2.  What is the the maximum file size? 

3.  What is the total downloaded storage capacity of the 830?

4.  How many maps can I download from the "NewFiles" folder to the 830 at one time?

    The 830 and 820 have 16 GB of internal memory. The North American maps are about 8 GB.

    Are you talking about maps or course files?

    FAT32 (the format of the memory) might limit files to about 3 GB. (Course files won't be anywhere near that size.)

    Map (*.img) files are typically copied to \Garmin.

    Course files are copied to \Garmin\NewFiles.

    You can have 100 courses.
