Elevation profile on map page when following a course

This is nice feature it only needs to be fixed. My understanding is that Edge should show below the map elevation profile of the course and current rider position. Also progress along the ride. Currently on 3.50 no matter if I ride on flat terrain or in mountains is showing green flat profile. Moreover my marker is in the same middle place on the profile and not moving. Unless I don`t understand something or this is supposed to work otherwise this is a bug in the firmware.

When I try to remove the elevation data (deselect it in my settings - profile) this data won’t disappear. I think the screen is already small when you have 2 data fields below the map so I don’t want…

Does your course file have elevation data?

On dedicated elevation page I have correct profile. This is not the case on Map page.

next time you do this with a corse - zoom way out and see if the lower profile changes.

The scale of the lower elevation profile when added to the map page is linked to the scale of the map.

Thanks guys. If this is true then the elevation on map page is of very limited use. In fact is only taking screen space. I would like to see what is in front of me or where I am on the course but without zooming out as I need to know where to ride. Moreover even mountain parts are quite flat only color coded. This way I dont even know when climb ends and need to look at dedicated Elevation or ClimbPro page. Hope Garmin will tweak this in future updates. Idea is great. Implementation as of now not the best. I saw that Stages Dash have this and its looking extremely good (color coded elevation from whole course with zoom +/- possibility).

Im interested in the answer to the question of kim4885 a about hiding the elevation data in map view as well

I can’t test it right now but I got rid of this.
I think it was just disable the “show height profile” like I did in my screenshot.

as you can see in the next screenshot, this profile stays there visible in the settings menu but I think it is invisible when doing a ride.
