Pause workouts when pausing a ride

I haven't found it. I hope they add it down the line, with some other workout improvements... 

Nope. And this is really annoying.

PS you can just press "stop" and forget to press for continuation

 But does that work? My first attempt at this looked like the timer is still running on my Edge. 

Agreed!  I had the same question a few weeks ago.  I thought for SURE this had to be a bug, but nope, it's designed that way!  How dumb is that?  If I want the timer to not stop when I do, I'll turn off autopause.  Instead, Garmin thinks this should be the default, and allows the user no way to control it.

I just found out auto-pausing during a workout is not possible. I’m literally going to send this thing back. Something this simple needs to be updated as it’s likely one of the most important functions needed when performing structures workouts. 

Did you also write to dev? Because with Forerunner and Fenix watched is working stopping workout so I am not sure is not a bug. 

I know that some people in the past asked for not to stop timer during auto pause during a workout because they do interval standing still during rest but is more common with running that with cycling. But what they wanted is not to calculate this rest for total average speed but I think that the actual behaviour is different and the pause affect average speed. Right? 

So, in my opinion is better to write to beta developer writing as a bug.
