Holes in the back of the 830

Can someone tell what the holes are for in the back of the Garmin 830? It is in the middle of the unit. But some units have 2 holes and other ones have 4 holes.

Why?

Those are for the speaker. The barometric sensor port has moved to be behind the USB port cover.
