Edge 830 Bluetooth Dropout Mid Ride

While out on a long ride yesterday, my new edge 830 dropped the bluetooth connection to both my Stages and H/R belts at the same time, 3hr 42min in, neither unit would the connect to the 830.

both units had been fitted with new batteries and had been recording fine up too that point.

The unit was new last week from my local shop, and had been updated to the latest software version before use, I had ridden on Friday with no issues at all. Once the ride was finished, I saved it and it didn't upload as the 830 wouldn't connect to my phone, after switching off and on again, the ride uploaded, and the H/R belt and Stages paired straight away.

Anyone else had similar issues?

cheers

I’ve had sensor drops usually on rides when we stop and then it won’t reconnect for almost 15 minutes, this has happened twice now to me. I’m up to date on software and I’ve deleted my sensors and tried them as ANT+ too

Same here, I lost my Rotor 2Inpower power/cadence after a coffee break. It was connected via Bluetooth... next ride I'll move it to Ant+ to see if that makes any difference.

This is a view of data collected during this ride, as you can see there were 2 quite long stops. After the first stop, all sensors reconnected but after the second stop the Powermeter (including cadence) did not reconnect.

And the issue was not the battery of the powermeter as I had in parallel a second bike computer (Wahoo Bolt) and it recorded correctly power and cadence during the whole ride as you can see below:
