Just got this a minute after posting from Garmin. Even though they say on their website not to delete resident or factory installed map files.

Can someone with the EU unit tell me how large is the Europe maps? I ordered the US unit but am worried that there isn't enough memory to also fit the European maps - which tend to be very large due to the density of roads there. I need both.

This is crazy. I am back and forth between North America and Europe continually. I cant be reloading the maps before each trip. It literally takes hours. Why would they come out with a new device and skimp on cheap memory. It makes no sense.
