Navigation critical bug

I have been very pleased with my purchase of the Edge 830 ever since I bought the bundle. I came across a rather critical bug (I am on the latest software) while performing my second navigation activity for the day.

GPS didn't seem to lock in properly and my location on the map was slowly floating away south from where I really was. When I started the activity I continued moving down without doing any riding.

Naturally, it was impossible to do anything as the unit was completely clueless as to where I was. Has anyone had this happen too???

EDIT: I tried starting a new activity, restarting and soft resetting the Edge 830 and still got the very same error... I resorted to navigating home by relying on the MARQ Expedition on my wrist..

Garmin are working on the issue. I provided them with data and raised a ticket.

Are you using Galileo? It apparently causes issues on the 530/830 and you'll need to use glonass instead. Supposedly Garmin is working on this but seeing how they still don't have any type of known issues page it's hard to say for sure.

I can confirm, same here, using Galileo. Also, very frequent GPS signal losses, my track is all over the place today.

In my case, stopping the ride, turning device off and on again and resuming the ride helped - apart from very frequent "satellite lost" messages.

Navigation screen was frozen today (old image displayed)! after only 20km riding. Had to turn off. On (no satellite lock). Off. Then it could resume the navigation.

I used gps + glonass mode only.
