Nagging notifications about incident detection not being enabled

My Edge 830 keeps on insisting that I add an emergency contact even though incident detection is disabled.

I finally gave in and completed the set up process. Still, the device keeps on alerting me to the fact that incident detection is disabled. 

Any idea how to stop this once and for all?
