I rode a course for the first time today. During several of the turns I received at big red "Warning" at the bottom of the screen. What is this? I saw some setup for sharp turn warnings but I have it disabled.

yes check the navigation->sharp bend warning
I still get the message even though I have turned off the warning. It is kind of useless as I never see it until after I have done the turn. I never see it before the turn, during the turn I am not looking at the GPS. I am looking at my surroundings during a turn.
Mine seems to give me the sharp turn ahead warning in advance of the turn. I haven’t configured it so it must be using whatever is the default.
I observed it closely during a ride today and on two turns, the warning showed up about 50ft or so after the turn, definitely not before the turn. Of course I have the sharp bend warning turned off, so I should not be getting it at all. Also one of the turns was a normal 90 degree turn, not sharp at all. It seems rather useless to provide a warning after the turn.
I can confirm that this ‘warning’ only appears when following a course and is UNRELATED to the sharp bend warning (which I have turned off now). It pops up very close to the corner (as you would hope) and generally seems to be on flat or downhill bits. I don’t recall seeing it going uphill (a good thing) so it must be speed related. Did it make me slow down? No.
