Release Date?

When is this going to be released? Im thinking of getting the ELEMNT ROAM if that one is released first.

I was also supposed to get the 830 on May 4 and now all it says is "backordered". I hate Garmin. I'm going to get the Wahoo ROAM instead.

Not if you were kenn on the 830. No touch. Map movement by keys. Maps not really coloured. No other Maps could be installed.
But for anybody driving road bike the ROAM could be an option. Another point - It is bigger then the 830.

So my order with Evans is still May 20th. Don't reckon it'll stay that. Amazon, Swinnertons says June 25th now...

Wow, from early may....now Amazon shows...
Base unit: Friday, June 14 - Thursday, July 18
MTB Bundle: June 14 - Friday, July 19
Sensor Bundle: Monday, June 24 - Tuesday, Aug. 6

...What the heck? August for the sensor bundle?! Makes me wonder if an early release date was leaked at first to stop people from getting the ROAM?
How does the release date go from 1 week, to several months later?
I already sold my 1030 in preparation for this because I couldn't stand the disconnects any longer (even tho I *hate* the idea of going to a smaller screen). My brother pre-ordered the 830 and I was planning to try it out and possibly get one. He's now cancelled his order and is considering the roam. I guess I'll reluctantly use my phone until I can see how this pans out between the two.

Amazon dealers do not get the early shipments. Garmin gives priority to local bike stores and other outlets first. I've already seen postings on other sites from users that have gotten both the 530 and 830.

The 530 I ordered directly from Garmin is arriving on Monday.
