Issues with colours of the navigation maps

since the latest software update (12.10) large portions of the map colour changed to bright green and so did the course and direction arrow. Pretty frustrating as it is impossible to distinguish my route now.

Does anyone have similar issues?

Is there a solution?

We just released the 12.24 beta which addresses this issue. Users are welcome to install this if they would like to fix this issue before the public release.

This was resolved in the new software update 12.30.

Yes, it's an option in the desktop app, shown in this screenshot. Just be aware it'll take a couple of hours to download and install. (Not sure why, but that's always been the way with Garmin maps…

Glad to hear that. So for others who find their way here, it appears the the answer to this issue is to re-install maps via the Garmin Connect desktop app. (I've marked this as a suggested answer.)…

The same here. I re-installed the Cycle MAp, then did a factory reset. After a day or so, the map screen shows (again) all roads in green, as well as the arrow of present position and of the Vitrual Partner…

Yes, same here. I reinstalled the maps via the Garmin Connect desktop app after my last ride, but haven't been out again yet to confirm whether that helped. I think actually the maps have just gone monochrome - I either get all green or all beige - but basically all useful colour has gone.

I'll update here on whether the map reinstall has worked when I manage to get out again.

Thx for your input. I haven't tried connecting to my desktop app aswel. I was also thinking if it's possible to return to a previous version of the software. I'm afraid of resetting my device since I don't want to loose certain saved courses.

What maps do you have on the Edge? If they are they are the standard Garmin maps, what version and what regions do they cover?

Garmin-Matthew - I've not been for a ride yet, but I've turned my Edge unit on at home to zoom and pan around the map. So far it looks fine/fixed, so the reinstall may have done the trick. I won't know for sure until I've done a ride or two.

thanks for the tip AndyJW1 . Actually I can't remember the last time since I've connected my Edge via Garmin express so it's maybe a good thing to do anyway, and hopefully this solves the issue

I've update the maps as suggested and it seems working. I've done a quick test while commuting for lunch and the map + colors are back to normal. i've included a screenshot here
