Why does Edge 540 occasionally not calculate Intensity minutes?

I use a Garmin HRM every ride. HRM data is captured and saved, but occasionally there is no Intensity Minutes score calculated. Any idea why?

I use the same Garmin Dual HRM every ride. The ride in question was rated Primary Benefit Tempo. 110 minutes in Zone3 (68%) and 43 mins in zone 4 (26%) I was working hard enough, but Edge 540 didn't calculate anything. It usually does, but this time it didn't.

That document has already been offered. I've read it, but it doesn't answer why, when all factors for intensity minutes are apparently satisfied, Garmin doesn't calculate intensity minutes.
