Used to get a chime on 1st gear, and top gear. Now I only get a chime on top. Why does every update that fixes stuff break something else?

What electronic shifting system are you using?
12 speed Shimano Di2. Used to work, before the update.
The chime is an end of range gear warning
It worked on a for me testing on a Di2 11 speed
Chimed at position 1, 1 and 2, 11
Let me try on my 12 speed.
I just tried my 11 Speed Shimano Di2. It doesn't chime on 1st gear either.
11 speed shows software version 0.20. 12 speed shows software version 0.30
It also worked on my 12 speed bike as well. Does the Edge correctly reflect you are riding as 12 speed?
I have a data field set on my Garmin to display "rear gear". Both my 12 speed and 11 speed display the correct config. The config for chain ring and cassette are correct for both. Config of both Di2 have "Tones" set to "on". It used to work, and I have changed nothing, other than software updates on Garmin.
They messed up this feature a few months ago and they fixed it after reporting it here. Now it seems they've broken it again. It's insane how unprofesional they are in terms of software control.
I haven't updated my Edge 540 to v28.33 but if I do it I'll come back here and let you know if it works using SRAM axs.
Everything works fine on any previous software updates. Tested in 1st and 12th gear on axs drive. If there are any problems, remove and re-add any Di2 or Axs sensors.
I removed and re-added both 11 speed and 12 speed Di2. Same result. Chime on top gear, no chime on 1st gear, both bikes.
