Intensity Minutes data has disappeared from Garmin Connect

Until last week, Intensity minutes from Edge 540 activity used to show up on Garmin Connect, and be passed through to Venu 3 watch Intensity minutes total. Intensity Minutes fields no longer show on Garmin Connect, and don't get added to watch total. Missing credit for activity is destroying my "Fitness Age"

  • Intensity Minutes is displayed for Saturday's ride. Today's (Tuesday) ride, there is no Intensity Minutes. Same bike, same HRM, same Edge540. Why no Intensity Minutes on Garmin Connect? Intesity Minutes data can be found on Edge 540 for today's ride, so the data is there. Edge 540 Setiings/ My Stats / Intensity Minutes.

  • And today's (Wednesday) ride, Intensity Minutes is there on Garmin Connect. But, deleting yesterday's ride, and uploading the fit file again, I still don't get yesterday's Intensity Minutes. Huh?

  • Friday and Sunday rides both show intensity minutes on Garmin Connect. Deleting Tuesday's ride from Garmin Connect, and re-uploading Tuesday's .fit file and it still doesn't show intensity minutes. Strange goings on at Garmin.

  • Suspect intensity minutes are recorded to a metrics fit file which may also include the heart rate and calorie data.  My ride on Saturday did not upload the intensity minutes or add the heart data from a HRM200 to the daily heart rate widget, but what did work for me in this instance was to go to the debug folder, there's a MetricsBkup directory, I manually uploaded the latest fit file, garmin connect reported the fit file had previously been uploaded, however the activity now included the intensity minutes and the heart data was added to the daily timeline graph.  I'll follow this procedure next time this issue occurs to determine if this is a viable work around. Note, i also have a fexix 8, it's not worn while riding but I do have the phone connection dusabled until the data from the edge 540 is uploaded successfully
