Hi,
Until now, I was not moved by negative comments about Garmin, until today... I was calmly riding a set course in my 540, and every now and then I would get a message that I had gone off course, and then a message that I had returned. Oh well, I thought to myself, I was riding in the forest, maybe the GPS signal was weak, maybe the services were interfering, I would ignore it. And so it went a few times. At some point, after about 30 km out of the set 60, the navigation stopped working altogether - i.e. the map was displayed, but there was no track, and the distance to the destination was zero in the data. I went into the navigation menu, found the course I wanted to take and set "go". The device asked me if I wanted to go back to the beginning. According to my common sense - no, because I didn't want to go home and start again, I just wanted to continue from where I was. And here's the thing - after my "no" it didn't mark a track to return to the course, the distance to the destination was still zero. But if I click "yes", it maps out the route elegantly to the beginning. And it is like that every time, I would not like to enter any other course. Just to be clear - under this question about navigating to the beginning, some numbers are displayed, as if it could see the course to the end (photo). Unfortunately, nothing happens after that. And the hit was when it reset itself while driving, fortunately it saved all the data. Has anyone had such cases?
