I am having the same issue as well. It feels like it's always subtracting 2-3% from the actual gradient.

Most likely not; see the other topics (840/1040) where I and others describe the issue. When elevation increases, negative grades are shown; this is a programming bug, not a hardware failure.
By the way: of course a hardware failure cannot be excluded; see the "water in the hole" issue.
It's a software bug in their firmware. I noticed it around v24. Support told me the devs changed the calculation of that value but they couldn't do anything about it until the next release. But as always they don't fix it, but don't permit downgrades either. I used ChatGPT to code my own ConnectIQ app to solve it and that's working perfectly fine. There are many others available on the store, too.
