After the 25.24 update, 540 detected new ftp, maximum heart rate, and threshold heart rate after doing aerobic ride

I did a 2-zone aerobic ride after the 540 was updated to 25.24. After the ride, the 540 showed that it detected new ftp, maximum heart rate, and threshold heart rate.
Is this due to the new system? But I have never seen this maximum heart rate in my rides. I feel that the new threshold heart rate is not accurate and is a bit lower.
Is the new ftp calculated based on previous activities? And these data were directly modified without my consent.
Maybe because the 540 changed the threshold heart rate, the 2-zone aerobic was recognized as a tempo-type high-intensity aerobic. After I changed the threshold heart rate back to the previous data, I did three hours of 2-zone aerobics, and it was still recognized as a tempo-type high-intensity aerobics. I'm not sure why this happened.

  • Same thing with me, on 1040 after update to 25.xx.

New Ftp, new Max HR, new lactate threshold - all values lower than my current ones.

And yes - because HR zones slipped down after MaxHR (based on %MaxHR), Edge started detecting High Aerobic in my ysual Zone 2. Moreover, now that's exactly a bug, when I corrected Edge HR zones manually in GC, those went off again on their own, and even after I edited on Edge device directly, after sone on/off those went off again. Now I'm checking my HR zones in Edge before every ride to make sure those are the same, so that I can keep my training routines in Zone 2 proper.

I didn't get finally was it a bug fron Garmin, or a new feature, because no mention of this in description of update.

Life with Garmin device is full of surprises. Maybe one other day we learn that previously estimated Ftp and MaxHR values were incorrect, and "new o es" are correct just because of improvement of algorithms in software.

  • I found that the power and heart rate data in GC are still wrong. I don't know why 540 is not synchronized with the web page. Maybe this is why the zone2 ride still shows high-intensity aerobic after I modified the 540 data. Now I will try to see if the zone2 is normal after I modify it in GC.
I have temporarily turned off the automatic detection related to FTP and heart rate because I think the values it gives are not very correct.

  • Update:

I just found my FTP dropped again even lower few days ago, during a Threshold workout. No any kind of notification e.g. "New FTP detected, accept or not?" in GC app as it used to be before! Just a silent reduction of FTP behind the scene.

Problem is, I wasn't doing an FTP test, just an ordinary workout, not my personal best that day, some health issues etc so I was on ease and just went thru half of it. Why, Garmin, why this should be a basis for establishing my new FTP and new power zones? This is definitely not right algorithm of updating a key training metric WITHOUT confirmation by a user!

At this point I could recommend to other users turning FTP Auto-detection Off, because it's broken, or the logic is not anyhow clear to a user.

Such a bad user experience wiyh new update 25.xx,  in my opinion.
