Garmin 540 custom map, how do I enable it?

I just received a garmin edge 540 and I have updated it as well as updated the maps on garmin express....I live on Maui, hawaii and notice my street is blank, I live on a old street that has always been here....

I downloaded a file of the area I need from bbbike.org and have the file 'gmapsupp'  which I have copied the file to my edge 540 /garmin folder....

How do I enable this file in my device?  The youtube video skips the navigation to enable the file...All I see is the same gps map with my blank streets in my device...

    Oh, I also downloaded  using Garmin Cycle (latin1) from the site itself, I got into map information and see my file and it says enabled, but my street is still blank?  The file I downloaded showed my street in detail

    Check that there is only one routable map covering your area enabled in your Activity Profile. (Menu>Settings>[your Activity Profile]>Navigation>Map>Map Info).

    Note that the name of the map will be what you entered in the “Name of Area to Extract” field when creating the download.

    Thanks, I got it going by doing that but there is zero street names on the gps for the island of maui, just lines for the roads
