Hello, when will there be a complete map of Europe again for the Edge 540?
This is necessary to participate in events such as the Northcape4000 or Transcontinental.

Hey, check out my post here - I managed to load all 3 European regions onto my Edge 540. forums.garmin.com/.../map-of-europe-is-too-big-to-install
Hello @DennisF
thank you for your hints. With a factory reset, the deletion of the ride files and the deletion of the trail maps as well as 3-4 attempts, I was able to install the maps (Central, West and Eastern Europe) in two steps. There is 194MB of free space remaining
If you run low on space and don't use searching for climbs function (Climpro itself unchanged) there is likely a huge heap (GBs) of other files in the \Garmin\SQL\INTERNAL directory that "can" be deleted. There have been some discussions around this with instructions and consequences, search on "SQL\Internal" ?
Some additional information:
I have now the following maps on my Edge540: EU-East 2024.20, EU-Central 2024.20, EU-West 2024, Worldwide DEM Basemap and DEM-EU 2023,10.
In memory: D471 3090A /1,19GB, D601 6120A/2,71GB, D601 7120A /2,57GB, D949 9050A / 2,63GB and some smaller files. In total 9.1GG
At SQL intern: D994 2040A / 1,16GB, D9943040A / 2,02GB, DA30 7020A / 1,4GB ... In Total 4.6GB.
Is there a directory somewhere, which file belongs to which country/continent part?
D4713090A, D6016120A, D6017120A, D9499050A - these are Basemap + 3 Europe maps (the last one is Europe Central).
D9941040A, D9943040A, D9942040A - these are 3 Europe map databases for ClibmbPro )the last one is Europe Central).
I know which ones are for Europe Central just because I copied those from my other device that had all 4 Europe regions installed, to my 540 where I could download only 2 regions via Garmin Express.
Your "DA30 7020A" is some kind of old file, I suppose it's may not work properly. Instead you should have D9941040A
I guess this approach is going to be broken with the latest 25.24 firmware update since Garmin is changing to MTP connection instead of the thumb drive like connection.
Not at all, Edge 540 still allows copying or deleting files when connected to PC, no any issues. MTP is actually safer - you don't need to remember doing "Eject" or Safe Remove like with usb-sticks.
