Events don't appear to sync from Connect calendar

I've added a bunch of events in the Garmin Connect calendar but they don't appear to sync to the Edge 540: anyone else experiencing this issue?

  • The same thing happens to me with a Garmin 540 Solar. In my case, I think the problem is that the device does not automatically sync over Wi-Fi. I have to go to the Wifi section, and synchronize manually. Another way for it to sync is by powering it off (not suspending) and powering it back on. At that time it synchronizes once. I find both options very uncomfortable to use. Can someone help us with this?

  • I was actually on the phone with the Garmin customer support and we were able to figure it out. The issue has to do with the way the event are configured. In essence only events where the training priority is set to "Primary Event" or "Secondary Event" synchronize to the device. Event's where the priority is set to "No Priority" will not synchronize.

    Per the instructions (click on the little question mark right next to "Choose This Event’s Training Priority") a primary event is always required, but somehow I was able to originally set all my events as "No Priority" so nothing was showing up.

    Once I started tagging events as Primary and Secondary, they now sync without a problem and even be able to link and event to a Course without any issue.
