Edge 540 solar GPS map tracking issue

I bought Garmin Edge 540 solar and from day 1 I have an issue with map tracking. While riding a blue triangle that shows my position gets stuck or moves in a random direction while blue line which shows path traveled continues tracking my movement and after a while position marker resets to a correct position until it freezes again soon. This makes me think that problem is software based (because blue line continues tracking my movement so it's not like navigation freezes completely). I updated my edge with no improvement, installed beta and problem still persists. Has anyone encountered this and knows a possible solution? Thanks

    I've had the same issue ever since I got my Edge 540 Solar as well. I installed the latest software update and it seemed to not fix anything. I am not sure if it will work for us but I found this list of settings to change from another post I saw with similar problems. 

    Activity Profiles>Road>Navigation>Map
      Auto Zoom = off
      Orientation = Track Up (though I've experimented with North Up)
      Appearance -- I have Popularity Map = On 
    Activity Profiles>Road>Navigation>Navigation Prompts
      Map
    Activity Profiles>Road>Navigation>routing
    I have popular routing = off
    Routing mode = Mixed surface cycling
    Calculation mode = minimize time
    Lock on Road = Off
    Avoidance setup = none
    Course Recalculation = Prompt only
    Route Recalculation = Off 
    Navigation>Courses
    Turn Guidance = on
    Off Course Warning = on
    And in the 3-dots menu for my course after load, I have Course Points turned off.
    The next route I download I'll keep you updated on how the navigation went. Hope this helps and take care.

    Yes, I can confirm that changing settings can fix this issue (not sure if "fix" is a good word, it's a workaround and a compromise obviously), but after my first post I turned off pretty much every option connected with maps and it works fine, turned some back on but still not sure which setting is the problem. I've checked it now and some of my settings are different than in post above, but those are less important. If I had to guess I'd say it has something to do with map details or route calculation. It is weird because problem happens even when no course is loaded but there obviously is a setting or setting combo which is bugged. So I did fix problem for myself but I don't need most of available options anyway so I'm not sure if everyone will be satisfied with the current solution.
