SENSORS CONECTION PROBLEMS

Hi I have 540 for six months. Occasionally when I power it on it doesnt find any of my sensors (heart rate garmin, power meter garmin pedals, DI2 ultegra12s).

Last time it happend I powered it off (not sleep) turn it on again and found all the sensors.

But the power meter gone crazy. It was connecting and disconnecting all the time. And the measurements are unreal. 3500 watts.

I have 2 bikes that I use the garmin 540 and pedals. The one with dI2 and one with mechanical shiffting.

I think that the problems occures when I used them with the dI2.

Is it possible that this is the problem?

If so, how so I solve it?

  • So happy to hear I am not the only one, I have the same problem since the latest update.

Next to that, my garmin is very slow when I pause/end the ride

  • I am having similar problems with my PowerTap pedals and my Edge 540.  The pedals connect to my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar just fine but will not connect to my Edge 540.  I too am using di2 which it connects to but no power - even when I do a search for sensors.

  • I think maybe a solution is to completely turn off the device and not put it in sleep mode after finishing a ride. Since I do this I don't have these problems

  • Yes, if your turn It completely off (instead of sleep mode), It gets the sensors.

Is happens since i bought It. Dont understand why Garmin doesnt fix it

  • Sleep mode seems to be the cause of several problems. I don't understand the use of sleep mode since Edge units only take about 15 seconds to start up after being completely turned off and the run time is now very long so that saving the battery is not that useful.
