Edge 540 and Epix Pro Unified Trining Status not syncing properly

I have an Epix Pro Gen 2 as a primary wearable that I use almost all the time. My primary training device is Edge 540. 

I record outdoor riding activities on Edge while wearing the Epix (not recording activity on the latter). After upload, Unified Training Status is all over the place. Some times it syncs well and all devices + Connect recognize the activity, adjust training status, calories and other metrics to the actual values. Other times it complete ignores the uploaded activity and does not adjust anything, even though the activity still shows as upload in all devices and Connect. 
Today however I got an even more bizarre situation. Unifird Training Status sync only part of the activity (like 45 min out of 2h workout) and the metrics are all mixed up, all incorrect.  Screenshots below with examples of issues syncing stress level and calories, just to show some.

There are very serious sync issues with Unified Training Status. In theory, with my PTD being Edge, the activity recorded in it should trump all other data and force the actual figures. But it simply does not work. Not reliable data handling. 

I have reported it before to Garmin, but unfortunately the customer service agent did not help, promised a follow up via email that I never got. 

I see folks with similar issues in other posts. Has anyone figure a solution? Is Garmin anywhere responding to it?

Lots of money spent on premium devices and the user experience is very, very poor.
