Battery save

When I want to put my Garmin Edge 540 solar on battery saver, nothing happens. I turn on the switch function but the image remains on.

My 830 then went on standby.

Is the standby function not available on the 540 solar?

i've the same question. When i turn on the battery saving mode it switches back to disable soon - how can i turn on the batterysaving mode always?
