Starting a ride outdoor and finishing the workout on indoor trainer

Hi,

I wonder what would be the correct approach to record say a workout starting outdoor with a 1.5 hours zone 2 ride and finishes with 4 2min intervals on an indoor trainer

I usually stop the zone 2 first ride, save it, and start a second one for the intervals, but maybe stuff like training effect would work better if I didn't stop the first ride and just switched to my indoor profile
