This was also an issue with a 530 and I was hoping there would be an updated altimeter in the 540. That said, I'm not sure which one is more accurate. Both are on 'auto calibrate'.

acousticbiker Would you be comfortable sharing public links to activities you have recorded to compare these? If you would prefer, with your permission we can access these in your account with your consent as long as you provide dates for us to look at.
Happy for you to access my account. That said, I only save activities from Epix 2 and not the Edge. With TrueUp enabled, would activities from both devices be available after the fact even if I saved on both?
acousticbiker Yes, both activities will be available as long as you save both and then sync each device. Your training status information will not be duplicated and will be used from your primary device. You can delete the duplicate later after we have had a chance to look over them, but we will need both to compare of course.
Different devices will have their own hardware internally, as well as overall designs so there can be discrepancies, but we can look into this once you have some uploaded.
Garmin-Blake I finally got back out and saved a ride today from both epix and 540 solar showing 1779 ft climbed on former and 1572 ft on latter.
In addition, during one ClimbPro segment, the right data field under the elevation profile showed ‘nan’ at the beginning and end of the climb while showing a fixed amount of ft remaining throughout (and no elevation profile) even while distance remaining was decreasing appropriately.
Garmin-Blake, similar results on MTB ride today
