Found a lot of posts on this issue with various Garmins, where you continuously get a message, "GPS firmware update successful" and lose GPS. Finally happened to me today. Posted solutions involve deleting files, getting new units, etc. I did a 15 second power button reset on mine, and it fixed the problem. Just hold down the button for a full 15 seconds until the display goes completely blank, then restart.
